This Saturday, August 4th, we here at Oddly Correct, and Brady & crew at Hammerpress, will be unveiling a collaboration in the form of coffee & print.
As some of you may know, we have been having fun combining hops & coffee for a while now. We have been bottling the ready-to-drink Hop!Toddy on weekends in limited runs, for your pleasure. Our goal is to explore different hop varietals in relation to coffee varietals - to see what happens to both of the flavor profiles when combined.
This weekend, we are bottling & selling a very limited run of undiluted hop/coffee extract at 3934 Main St. & Hammerpress, on 110 Southwest Blvd. 25 bottles will be available at Oddly Correct, opening at 7 a.m. & 25 bottles will be available at Hammerpress starting at noon on Saturday. We will be there at Hammerpress pouring some samples of the goodness from 12-3.
750ml bottles will be for sale for $25, limit 2 per person. Along with the coffee goodness is a limited edition handbill from @Hammerpress, for your observing & collecting pleasure.
The coffee we have chosen, is a Fair Trade Organic Washed Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, from the Konga Cooperative of small-holder farms. It’s a citrusy, piney, floral coffee. We are combining it with an extract of Cascade & Sterling hops. Super-Ultra-Refreshing goodness awaits you.
Normally, we dilute the extract 50/50 coffee to water, this time, it’s 1 part water to 3 parts Hop!Toddy. This is because the hop extract provides some dilution already.
Cheers~
P.S. Thanks to @Boulevard for your great neighborly kindness in helping us make this happen!
Wow, that sounds kinda awesome, like a twisted New Orleans style toddy. I am into this.
